Hi, I'm Daniel

About Me

I'm a beginning game developer! Games are, and have always been, my passion. I have been playing games since I was 4 years old, and my first console was a Playstation 1. The first game I ever played was Frogger, but my favorite game franchise of all time is Mortal Kombat. Fighting games have always drawn me in because I love their competitive nature. Aside from games I enjoy reading comic books or listening to comics explained on Youtube. I also like to watch tv shows like Stranger Things and Supernatural with my Wife.

Experience

I graduated from Full Sail University in July of 2021. During my schooling I learned the best practices of Level Design such as guiding the player through environmental hints and using visually distinct landmarks, I learned how to balance different aspects of gameplay so that the player doesn't find the game too easy or get frustrated often, and I also learned the basics of Unreal Engine. Both during and after my schooling I have dedicated a large amount of personal time to bettering my skills with Unreal Engine and Godot Engine. Throughout this time I have learned how both engines work quite well, and have become proficient in Blueprints for Unreal Engine and GDScript for Godot Engine.

Skills

One skill that I have is being able to figure out a solution to any problem that I have. Even if it takes me some time I always come to a solution.

I am also proficient in both Unreal Engine's Blueprints visual scripting language and Godot Engine's GDScript. I have been able to put together various systems and mechanics using these languages.
